The vibration plate.

Does a Vibration Plate work? Is this just a silly Fad?

Even though these might just be popping up in your news feeds or break room conversations, Vibration Plates have been around for a while.

In celebration of the Cold and Flu season, I wanted to share a fabulous way to activate and move your lymphatic system (clogged lymph nodes have less space to help you when you come down with something) and help you with some weight loss and just good circulation!!

20 minutes a day (I suggest you work up to this) has amazing benefits!

I have loved it because I am working so much, but want to move more, so I have this at my office and at home. Between clients, I can hop on it! At home, I use it more for a fitness routine with hand weights.

Historically, the earliest one was found to be by Dr Gustav Zander in the 1850’s. Going beyond this, they have become more mainstream popular in the last 10 years. PubMed supports them with hundreds of studies of benefits particularly in bone health and increased bone density, muscle flexibility and strength, balance and cell regeneration. The modern Holistic world specially loves these plates for circulation and lymphatic health.

Ok, we are all aware that movement is good for our body. What I personally love about these plates are anyone, in any condition, can use them. Any amount of time, in my professional opinion is going to benefit the person with consistent use. Consistency is always the key.

Benefits of a Vibration Plate…

  • Better blood flow and oxygen flow

  • Lymphatic movement and activation

  • Helps with balance and coordination

  • Stimulates muscles and strength

  • Helps with cell regeneration

  • Helps shake toxins and chemicals off cells

  • Studies have shown it improves bone density

  • Increases flexibility and range of motion

  • Great for those that don’t go out in the winter, but need some movement

  • And more!!

Ok, let’s try to get out all the varieties of use…

  • Yes, you can stand on it.

  • Yes, you can sit on it.

  • Yes, you can lay on it.

  • Yes, you can sit on a chair and have your feet on it.

  • Yes, you can kneel in front of it and put your arms on it.

There is no limit to this. The vibration, felt on any level for your body will facilitate movement, regeneration and health of your cells, blood and lymphatic.

Watch this video for a little 101 on the topic!

Of course, if this is a cautionary topic for you, can you message me or ask your Doctor. If it worries you, I would just start with a minute and go from there. Now, I am an overachiever and I love to challenge and make things bigger than what they already are!  Of course, you can pair this with other healing and self-care!! Whoo hoo! The sky is really the limit!

Some ideas:

Using the vibration plate before or after exercise!

Using the vibration plate before or after a massage!

Using the vibration plate after any type of healing or self-care to just move the energy in the body.

Super stressed? Try shaking it out!

Why not??

How fun, that we can have access to simple yet, very beneficial tool in our home (don’t forget workplace) that can be done for minutes or more and improve our health!

Stephanie, can any age use it? Absolutely!

What about an animal? Of course! Good luck getting them to stay on it!
